Montessori de Oro Alumni

An Online Community for Montessori de Oro Alumni

Guys, i've just read this thread "Is Montessori de Oro school nowadays have a good educational standa..." by Engr Sajid.. nakita nako na grabeh gyud ang pag lugi sa ato Alma Mater and pag gamay sa students.. from 250 students in a batch with 5 sections (elementary year 1998) and 200 students in a batch with 4 sections (highschool 1998) to 100 students in a batch with 2 sections (elementary and highschool 2005).

As an Alumni, can we help montessori de oro? whats the purpose of these community iif wala ta matabang.? Sa akoa lang is mag start with the Alumni Reunion then we met according to batch mod. Pwede kaha? Any suggestions and comments?

well, we can do that too. probably sad there's a lack of promotion. although we have this huuuuggggeee billboard near KSY, but still, that does not stop the decrease of enrollment.

bitaw oi, i don't have any slightest idea that the situation has become worst (or is it?). never visited the school anymore.. soo i dont know how our alma mater is doing for the last couple of years.
so if you guys have more suggestions.. feel free to post it here.... basta mao rajud ako nakita lang.

By the way, I am from Batch '95. Thank you for your views and opinions on the discussion that I've started. Anyways, I agree on your proposal. Should be at least projects that can help students in the academic standard in particular. But, this is not an easy task Mr. Mito, for this will need full-support if you want to fulfill this dream or proposal of yours.

My suggestion is that, para makatabang ta (sa mga students), is to conduct a workshop or a short session or a preview (every Saturdays) a class that will teach the students in advance the subjects that they will take in the College level. In this at least, can make an advantage to them for the profession that they will take.

Furthermore, the teachers and instructors in MdeO should exert full-support, effort, and dedication in their work and teachings to the students to enlighten them that the life nowadays is not easy just like our time. For other wise parents are shifting their children to other schools that has an equal fees in MdeO but more higher standards than our Alma Mater.

Haaaayyy!!! Kapuy nako sige Ingles ani!! Hahahahhaa!.

Bitaw! Brod concerned pud ko intawun kay gikan Kindergarten taman sa pag-graduate nako sa MdeO HS, LOYAL Montessorian intawun ko. Basta ilhan ko nila. Hheheheehehehe LOOOOL!

So, gudlak nalang sa mga years to come sa atoang Alma Mater.

P.S.: Pati sa Basketbol and Soccer, pirmi na "pildi" and MdeO... asus!!

mm i just saw the vid about the "battle at mdo" (was that the title? i forgot)
and the first thought that came to my mind was.. "how the hell can we help promote this school?"
the school looks like a jungle now, seriously. where do they hold classes?
its no wonder why parents don't want their kids to study in MdeO.
seriously, this is a sad reality. we must do something about this though.. or at least the admins of mdeo.
anyways, sorry for ranting!

good day, my fellow montessorians. i have been following this forum for quite sometime na, and i find it very interesting that most of the alumni/alumnae still think that MdeO still use the old RER campus for their classes (where the video took place). as other grads are well aware, MdeO hold classes at a new campus just beside the old RER campus making the latter totally abandoned. our group, Force Recon Airsoft Group, Inc. (FRAG-CDO, Inc.), plays there every sunday as i have stated in my previous posts, we were given permission from the Pelaezs. however, there are other groups that use the campus, as well. the Liceo Folkloric Dance Troupe also use the gym for their practices, and sometimes by basketball players so the old campus does not serve its academic purpose anymore. anyway, about sir mito's question of how we can help MdeO, i think that we can help the school in external matters not really much on the academic standard of the school unless we all go and apply as teachers, and, no offense, not all of us can provide the degree of standards that we are talking about. you see, in my life as an advertiser and having both parents in the education sector of the government, we cannot avoid but speak of MdeO most especially that me and my sisters went there. most feedbacks that i have received from people is that they do not know that a MdeO community still exist. they think that the graduates of MdeO, especially the earlier batches, have all gone their way after having enjoyed MdeO academics. i will have to disagree that the teachers in MdeO now are below standard. you see, getting more quality teachers to teach in MdeO is not a major factor in getting more students. MdeO academic standard has been tried and tested thru the years and it has never faltered until recently when the administration of the school went berserk. a disgrace that the students and teachers have nothing to do with so if we are to make the school "saleable" to the community, the admin should begin to get their act together. well, school improvisation would be a good start. as for us alumni/alumnae, what we can to help is that we should let people know that our community, MdeO community, still exist. how? if we are active in this forum, we can organize a homecoming for all MdeO batches whether from grade school or high school. that way, we will not only be giving encouragement to the admin but also a promotion for the school. let's meet and organize a committee for this, maybe we can make a change.

oh, another thing, the slogan "our school, our pride" doesn't work for me. some of my batch mates even thought of it as "our school, our price." neat!
